We strongly condemn the attacks carried out today in Brussels, as we condemn all wars, wherever they may be.

It is with immense sadness and great determination that we express our solidarity to the victims and their loved ones.

With our aspiration for a Universal Human Nation, we send our profound fraternity to all those who work and will work in the future for Peace.

The Humanist Party affirms that the only way out is through nonviolence.  It is an act of great courage and the only valid path.  Fear and vengeance can only drive us towards an escalation of disaster and death.

Back in 2009, on the occasion of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence, Silo, the founder of New Humanism said in these words:

Everywhere people are saying: War is a disaster!  Let’s give peace a chance.  To avoid a future nuclear catastrophe we need to work to surpass violence today.  Invading troops must be withdrawn, occupied territories must be returned and arsenals dismantled.  These are the urgent problems of the moment.   This is the cause of courageous men and women.
