On July 2nd at 6:15, Anthony Fabian’s award-winning feature film “Skin” will have its charity première at the Odeon West End in Leicester Square. Funds raised by this session will support FilmAid’s programme in refugee camps. Screening will be followed by Q&A with the director and some of the film stars.

The movie is based on the true story of Sandra Laing – a black child born in South Africa to white Afrikaner parents who faces, at the age of ten, violent discrimination from the white society in which she had been lovingly brought up. The film focus on her journey to reconciliation, overcoming rejection and redefining her identity.

“Skin” won the jury and audience awards of the Pan African Festival in Los Angeles, the Time for Peace First Film Award and the Best Feature Award in the Palm Beach Film Festival.
