The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences – UADER, Mg. María Gracia Benedetti and the Vice Dean Lic. Daniel Richar was present in the city of Concordia to accompany the inauguration of the new director, lawyer Bernardita Zalisñak, who was appointed by the Dean’s Office last Thursday.

The Dean highlighted, among other things, that the Office has undergone an important process of institutional strengthening and that a new stage is undoubtedly beginning in which the academic presence of the Faculty of Humanities will become increasingly important in its territorial integration and its relationship with the community.

For his part, Vice-Dean Richar expressed the need to continue to defend the right to public university education and highlighted the presence of students, teachers, and staff who are committed to its defense.

The new director, who has been teaching Human Rights for 12 years, held meetings with the different areas and expressed her gratitude for having agreed on the main objectives to be prioritized as a team and for the challenge of being at the head of the institution in the city.

The authorities thanked and highlighted the important work of Prof. Esteban Taubas in directing the headquarters and the team that accompanied him in this task.

HUMANISTS BERNARDITA ZALISÑAK CONCORDIA ENTRE RIOS

Bernardita Zalisñak has been teaching at the FHAyCS – UADER since 2012. She currently teaches Ethics and Human Rights in the Piano and Guitar courses and Human Rights in the Lyrical Singing course. JTP in the subjects of Social and State Theory, Epistemology and Human Rights, and Social Memory in Therapeutic Accompaniment and Psychogerontology.

She has directed university extension projects and is currently the director of the PI-C “El Pueblo Nación Charrúa, pasado, presente y futuro: debates in the field of humanities and social sciences in the province of Entre Ríos. A study of the productions from the 20th century to the present day, from an intercultural perspective” and between 2019 and 2022 coordinated the program and then the Department of Interculturality and Indigenous Peoples.

She has worked in the liberal professions as a lawyer and mediator.

She was Director of Preventive Management and Promotion in the Municipality of Concordia, responsible for women, sexual diversity, the elderly, and HIV/AIDS prevention.

She was an Education Councillor in the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires.

She is a member of the Humanist Movement and other organizations.
