The Action Alliance against the NATO Security Conference has adopted the following declaration during its meeting on February 27, 2024:

No deployment of NATO ground troops to Ukraine!
Immediate initiation of negotiations between the Russian Federation and NATO!
Immediate ceasefire!

The Action Alliance against the NATO Security Conference acknowledges that the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, as well as an unknown number of government leaders from NATO member states, are publicly considering the deployment of ground troops to Ukraine.

While Chancellor Scholz, in an initial reaction, rejected the French President’s ideas by refusing to become a party to the war through the deployment of ground troops, voices in Germany are also emerging in support of such plans. It is expected that the pressure on the Chancellor will increase in the coming days.

The Action Alliance against the NATO Security Conference sees in the proposed deployment of ground troops to Ukraine, as suggested by Macron, an attempt to prevent the impending military defeat of Kiev at any cost. This perception has been explicitly confirmed by a statement from the French Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal.

Such a step would lead to a confrontation between the Russian Federation and NATO, with the inevitable consequence of escalating the war in Ukraine into a third world war. To prevent this and instead seek a path to peace, we consider the immediate initiation of negotiations as a necessary step to avert a catastrophe for Europe and the world.

We reject any attempt to resolve conflicts in the heart of Europe through military violence!

Therefore, we demand:
No deployment of NATO ground troops to Ukraine!
Immediate initiation of negotiations between the Russian Federation and NATO!
Immediate ceasefire!
