This Friday 8th December, the organisation World Without Wars and Violence (MsG) began preparations for the 3rd World March for Peace and Nonviolence. March for Peace and Nonviolence will take place from October 2, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

“In the face of the apparent regression of humanity, it is urgent to make the voice of those of us on every continent who want a world without war and violence heard and strengthened. To this end, we invite you to join the 3rd. World March for Peace and Nonviolence (3aMM)” say the organisers.

The 3rd. March for Peace and Nonviolence will depart from Costa Rica on October 2, 2024, International Day of Nonviolence and will head towards Central America, North America, Asia, Oceania, Europe, Africa, and South America and will end in Costa Rica on January 5, 2025.

The March will be carried out by hundreds of thousands of peace and nonviolence activists, who will carry out various activities on a personal or organisational level, such as making a publicly recognised ethical commitment, making human symbols of Peace and Nonviolence, local and regional marches, conferences and forums, support from universities, support from cities for the United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and its implementation (TPNW), among others.

In Peru, the organisers of the 3rd WM are preparing various proposals such as educational forums, and a museum exhibition on the theme of violence, among other activities. Thousands of volunteers are expected to join in to denounce the situation of permanent violence that the whole world is currently experiencing.
