Outlaw nuclear weapons and abolish them! Hiroshima Memorial Day in Vienna
Sabine Schmitz

On August 6, 1945 the first atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima. On 7 July 2017, the UN decided to ban nuclear weapons under international law.

On Monday, August 6, 2018, the Vienna Peace Movement organizes the annual event in memory of the victims of the atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. For a world without nuclear weapons, without nuclear power stations and without wars.

The message is clear: away with all nuclear weapons, no military blocs, peace through disarmament, social justice and international solidarity, never again war!

Start on August 6, 2018 at 6 p.m in
1010 Vienna, Stephansplatz
From 8.30 p.m. there is from Stephansplatz to the pond in front of the Church of St. Karl
a lantern march.

In case of bad weather the action takes place
at Domcafe, 1010 Vienna, Stephansplatz 3.
