On January 21, 2017, more than 2,500 people walked in Vienna in solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington. Caroline Kirkpatrick, an American expatriate who organized the rally, said “This event should not be seen as an anti-Trump action. People demonstrated for tolerance, equal rights, against sexism, for human rights and for our planet”.
