Celso Jaque, in a note of adhesion to the World March for Peace and Non-violence which will begin in New Zealand on October 2nd and culminate in this province on January 2nd 2010, underlined that “in a turbulent world like ours, we must all unite in a brotherly commitment in order to work for freedom, dialogue, equality, respect and justice and to achieve the peace we so desperately need and from which all the rest springs, because peace is life”.

He also stated, in the note directed to Javier Zaldarriaga, national coordinator of the World Without Wars Foundation: “Through this (decree) I would like to assure you of my adhesion to the World March for Peace and Non-violence. May this be an opportunity to strengthen the ties of union between all the men and women of this blessed Earth. May it be an opportunity for light to dispel the shadows that cloud our future”.
