Rodolfo Schmal Simon es Ingeniero Civil Industrial de la Universidad de Chile y Magister en Informática de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid-España. Ha sido profesor de las Universidades de Chile, del Norte, de Tarapacá y de Talca; socio de las empresas informáticas PRODAT y ALEPH; Director de ZOFRI S.A.; Secretario y Tesorero de la Asociación de Académicos de la Universidad de Talca. Es autor de textos docentes y artículos en revistas académicas nacionales e internacionales indexadas. Reside en Talca, Chile.
