A muti-awarded Filipina artist living and working in Dubai returns to her artistic roots. She returns to her true calling and passion by unveiling her first solo exhibit here, in her native country. Entitled “her”, it opened on November 17 and runs to November 30, 2023, in the Artienda Gallery, located in Quezon City, Manila.

A feminist at heart, the exhibit showcases ten beautifully crafted works of art that express the feminine essence dwelling within women, each one a visual narrative bringing to life the intrinsic qualities of women–stories of grace and resilience, of creative power and strength, of care and compassion, of kindness and love.

As the curators of the Artienda Gallery say: “The Divine Feminine, a resplendent force echoing through time, embodies the quintessence of strength, grace, and transformative power. It is the timeless energy that nurtures creation, the silent yet resonant heartbeat underscoring the profound influence of women as architects of societal metamorphosis.

The exhibit features the works of Clio/New York Festivals/LIA Awardee, Dawn Almario. Offering an exquisite exploration through the sophisticated lenses of empowerment, intersectionality, and resilience, Dawn’s sweeping brushstrokes to intricately nuanced details compose a visual symphony, narrating compelling stories of strength, transformation, and the indelible impact of women in shaping the cultural ethos.”

Here are the different faces of the divine feminine. Experience a visual journey into what it is to be a woman in brushstrokes and delicately nuanced detail, that bring to life the artists’ thoughts, feelings, and sentiments of what it is to be a woman of today.
