Rashid Hussain was forcibly abducted by the United Arab Emirates intelligence on 26 December 2018 from Dubai without any arrest warrant and deported to Pakistan.

The Pakistani media broke the news of Rashid Hussain’s deportation from Dubai to Pakistan, but now Pakistan is denying the detention of Rashid Hussain.

Rashid Hussain, a human rights activist, is at risk of his life in Pakistan. The family of Rashid Hussain appeals to national and international human rights defender organizations to raise their voice for the safe release of Rashid Hussain.

If Rashid Hussain has committed any crime then Pakistan should present him in court according to the law and rules.

However, Pakistan and its law have failed to represent Rashid Hussain in court because he is not guilty.

He is being held in torture cells solely for raising his voice for justice and freedom for his people.

Pakistan has been committing war crimes in Balochistan for the past two decades, with abductions and extrajudicial killings continuing to this day.

Previously only men were being abducted, but now women are also being abducted on false charges.

The Baloch nation is being subjected to systematic genocide by Pakistan. Anyone who speaks up for their rights and freedom is abducted, tortured, and killed with their mutilated bodies being dumped on streets and deserted areas.

We request the UN and Human Rights Watch to question Pakistan about the abduction of Rashid Hussain and why he has not been presented in court.

On 22 June 2023 Rashid Hussain’s family will launch an online Twitter campaign for his safe release.

We request everyone from all walks of life to join this online campaign and become the voice of Rashid Hussain, who has been in torture cells for the last five years. Let us come together to raise our voices against enforced disappearances and put an end to the denial of justice and freedom for people.
