Starting March 8, International Women’s Day, Pressenza is publishing a series of video interviews entitled “Women who build the future, Towards a nonviolent culture ”.

In this interview Pía Figueroa speaks with Maria Khan. Maria experienced the process of her time, when university movements rebelled against imperialism and dictatorial violence in her native country, the Philippines, to develop in the field of the struggle for the human right to education.

She increasingly assumed more regional positions, until she understood that today’s world is one and needs to be inclusive in order to process towards a Universal Human Nation. The global and the local coexist, in this search for inclusion favored by free, secular and accessible education at all stages of life.
