POEM

Each day that comes into our lives

Brings some beauty and some sorrows too.

With the sun in its sky

And the ground beneath our feet

There, we go on

With our lives, day by day.

Then the night falls

And the rain comes

Tears of happiness and of sadness

When we see and feel our plight.

But as always rain brings gentle winds

Comes with solace and consolation too.

In the nights that bring the abyss

And the terrors all around us

Dreams become nightmares

Grips our souls.

But when the stars from faraway

Come twinkling down like beacons

When the stars come down from up above

And they nestle, deep inside our emptied hearts–

Peace, strength and joy will arise
And will blossom in our world.
