If you buy prawns or shrimp, chances are, you are buying the produce of slave labour.
Urge the UNHRC to Condemn Thai Fish Boat Slavery
Drear people,

Innocent people in Thailand are being conned onto boats or sold by human traffickers into a life of forced labour and abuse.

The life of a Thai fishing boat slave is dreadful. For years at a time, men are held captive on fishing boats in squalid conditions with no pay at all. If they protest, they could be killed and thrown overboard.

If you’re as outraged as I am, please sign the petition urging the UN commission on human rights (UNHRC) to condemn this in the strongest possible terms. What’s worse, the Thai government is complicit in trafficking of the Rohingya people to man these same slave boats. 300,000 people work in the Thai fishing industry, 90% of which are migrants vulnerable to being conned, trafficked and sold to the sea.

If the Thai government won’t do anything to stop this despicable trade, then we should!

A condemnation by the UNHRC will start the fight to end this Thai fishing slavery once and for all, so please sign the petition today.

Thank you for making a difference,

Alex B.
