Thousands of New Yorkers from across the five boroughs, #BlackLivesMatter activists and organizations that stand for social, economic, and racial justice rallied at Union Square to show the people of Baltimore that New York stands in solidarity with them and with their resistance because their resistance is for justice and their justice is our justice.

The people of Baltimore have taken to the streets day after day for justice for Freddie Gray and for Black lives across the country. The National Guard has been called in and a city-wide curfew set which Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said will go into effect starting April 28, at 10:00 pm and remain in place for seven days.
