Caracas, Apr 7 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Ministers from the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) will continue peace talks today and tomorrow in support of the National Conference promoted by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. The eight UNASUR foreign ministers will continue to follow up on work completed March 25-26, when they met with different sectors of the Venezuelan society as part of the country’s efforts to seek peace and harmony among Venezuelans.

After those meetings, the foreign ministers issued a communique, urging an end to violent actions in the country and condemning any event that might break with the country’s democratic and constitutional order.

The UNASUR commission is aimed at supporting, advising and joining with the Venezuelan government in seeking a resolution to the wave of extremist violence that has caused the death of 39 people since February 12, has injured more than 600, and caused losses to Venezuela equivalent to $15 billion USD.
