A world without wars and without violence

19.03.2011 - Madrid - Luis Ammann

“During the International Meeting of World without Wars and without Violence, held in the Park of Study and Reflection, Toledo, the proposal was presented for the First World Forum for Peace and Non-Violence, to be held at the beginning of November simultaneously in all cities around the world, in multi-polar form.

“Each Forum will be able to organise activities during these days. Kostas Klocas, a Greek member from the International Coordination Team, proposed the idea of at least one common and simultaneous day for all Forums. This will be 11/11/11, and that very particular day will send a powerful signal to the world from deep within us, to synchronise ourselves for 11 seconds to imagine a world without wars and without violence, and everywhere and in every place to cease activity for 11 seconds to imagine all together, whether in the place of work, study, or on the streets locally etc., to stop and come together for 11 seconds to launch this potent signal.

“With this video, I want to share with you all the emotion of this moment, although what follows afterwards, the amount of ideas, of initiatives, of proposals will be shared like starlight with everyone who will be following this proposal. With the intention of starting to organise this big event now, I send you all this small recording so that it can be widely broadcast”.
