The invitation on behalf of all groups within Moreno’s Municipal Council to bestow the title of ‘Guest of Honour’ to Silo, the man who inspired the World March for Peace and Non-Violence, became a reality last Saturday, November 14th, when councillor Adriana Palacios and the undersecretary for Culture, Hector Lafalse, visited La Reja Park for Study and Reflection, located in Buenos Aires.

On that day, the speech that Silo gave at the 10th Nobel Peace Prize Summit in Berlin, Germany, on November 11th was transmitted.

During the event at La Reja, where videos of the World March for Peace and Non-Violence and its voyage around the world were also projected, attendees were joined by the Mayor of Moreno, Andrés Arregui.

The World March will end on January 2 in Punta de Vacas Park for Study and Reflection in Mendoza, Argentina. The international base team of marchers will pass through Buenos Aires on December 29 before continuing on to Mendoza.

Also, organisers of the World March in Moreno will hold a caravan that will pass through various spots in Moreno on December 27, to which they have also invited Silo.
