Magdalena Cajías joins the World March Base Team

17.11.2009 - Madrid - Montserrat Ponsa i Tarrés

Magdalena Cajías, from Bolivia and Professor of History at San Andrés de La Paz University, has joined the Base Team of the World March for Peace and Non-violence, which began in Wellington on 2 October and will finish in Punta de Vacas, Argentina, on 2 January 2010.

The former Minister of Education in the Government of Evo Morales from June 2007 to November 2008, believes that “the endeavour to eradicate any kind of violence is not individual but collective and requires a common effort”. Furthermore, she says that “this World March is the effort of many committed people who, upon adding their voice, are amplifying it, making it reach different parts of the world. Many people will be able to hear the message of Peace and non-violence”.
