At a working breakfast inside the Forum Nueva Economía (New Economy Forum), Evo Morales met with a well-nourished group of Spanish businessmen to whom he explained the position of his government with respect to foreign investments. Evo looked to end the pattern of “distrust” from the Spanish business sector, welcoming investments and profits “as long as they respect current Bolivian regulations.”

He explained, before members of the Spanish business community, his career and, in an amiable speech, recounted examples of rural economic organization in his country, where they strive to provide economic benefits for all citizens.

What is striking about Evo Morales is his straightforward language and his lack of doublespeak that is popular in the circles in which he moves. The President of Bolivia used the same speech, with the same simple and clear language, this morning as he did the previous day before the groups of Bolivians and other countries that greeted him in Leganés.
