The First Possibility
Trump, it turns out, is dumber than any calculation range I know of can measure. Putting aside the bald-faced illegality and the obvious inhumanity of the current US attack on Iran, this “move” erases everything that anyone could have claimed in his favor up to this point. He’s potentially throwing a year’s worth of diplomacy with Russia and China (whatever one’s opinion of this was/is aside) out the window. In a sense this whole 24 year post-9-11 period has been a doomed to fail jaunt into madness and perpetually escalating violence, but this attack on Iran doubles down on anything that’s preceded it as far as its unhinged recklessness is concerned.
Again, I’m not even talking about the cruelty of what Trump and co. are doing, or Trump’s anti-historicism or his neo-fascism. I’m talking about the fact that even from a selfish/self-serving point of view, this war makes no sense. There’s no potential payoff in it for his presidency or for his political party. If this war goes on through the year there’ll be a blue wave in the midterms.
The Other Possibility
Maybe the Mossad threatened the lives of Trump’s children? It’s far from a stretch to imagine. Afterall, this is what Israel’s exceptionalist, Zionist leadership has banked on and utilized for over 3/4 of a century – terrorism, decapitation assassinations and the mass destruction of men, women, children and babies. Why would Trump’s family be spared if he didn’t follow through with their demands?
Relatedly, what if the unreleased 95% of those Epstein files (which were, of course, the product of a Mossad op) have enough firepower in them to take out the Clintons and other higher ups within the Republican and Democrat parties? By starting another long war in the Middle East they could both distract the public and save their own families’ hides. You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.
The attack on Iran started less than 24 hours after Bill Clinton caught softballs the other day, in his “testimony”. Both Trump and the Clintons have been peppering in strangely favorable comments about each other in the press lately, along with their accusatory rhetoric. Also, Hillary Clinton has been very vocal for nearly 2 decades about her belief that the US should go after/put pressure on Iran in order to thwart their nuclear capabilities. It’d be the perfect plan for both Trump, the Clintons and the rest of the Epstein-compromised class to escape jail and/or assassination. These are the questions I’m currently (seriously) considering.
