At a critical moment in the global situation, in which neo-colonialist violence is reappearing and all respect for human rights and the self-determination of each people seems to be disappearing, the call of the World Humanist Forum to reflect and act collectively to build the world in which we want to live takes on great relevance.

As expressed in the title of this Fourth Assembly, the call for exchange and joint action of this space is to overcome the crisis and global uncertainty through decisive human mobilization in favor of the common good.

The interest aroused by the Assembly, which will take place on January 24 and 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. (UTC time), was clearly demonstrated by the registration of organizations and activists from 42 countries on all continents.

Artists, educators’ collectives, promoters of peace and non-violence, athletes, researchers, economists, representatives of academia, workers in the fields of health and food, defenders of human rights and the environment, among other expressions of the social base, will come together in this Assembly in a spirit of humanism to share visions and experiences that will help open up the future in this complex stage that human communities are facing.

Although the international connection will be made by videoconference, there will be several points where face-to-face exchanges will also take place.

The first day, after brief reports on some of the most notable activities carried out within the framework of the World Humanist Forum in recent months, will be dedicated to participatory exchange in an attempt to generate a global vision of the current situation. During the second day, 17 thematic round tables will work to strengthen the implementation of proposals and actions in specific areas.
