Giving the Nobel Peace Prize 2025 to María Corina Machado is the latest signal that the West has fallen even further than it has until today. To give the Nobel Peace Prize to a fascistic and violent Venezuelan trouble maker in the regime change payroll of the US shows how the Nobel Prize Institute has now lost its credibility completely. It was already in dire waters when it gave Nobel Prizes to so called Belarussian journalists and opposition leaders who were nothing more than puppets for the US and the EU in their regime change programms.
This outragious move confirms that violence and fascism should be rewarded and the corageous and very difficult work of medics and surgeons in Gaza over het last 2 years ignored.
Personally I believe that the Nobel Prize Institute was sold out already a long time ago to Western so called ‘Neoliberal interests’ to keep up the masquerade of a peace loving western civilisation that needs to liberate the rest of the world from evil. Ofcourse with multiple wars and destruction because, as its political promotors always say, only through wars peace can be achieved.
With the start of Zionist Israel’s genocide in Gaza and its other horrors in the Westbank, The final mask of the West came crashing down, and with a deafening sound. Two years long Israel could unopposed murder men, women and children, bombarding their homes, their hospitals, their universities, their mosques, their schools, their everything. And if that was not enough, starving them by forbidding the entering of humanitarian aid. There was as always some diplomacy going on, asking Israel to stop the bombing of civilians, while at the same time the whole West, the US in the lead, went on sending their weapons for the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces). All the western countries are complicit in the genocide in Gaza, for the Simple reason that Palestinians are and were killed with the weaponry they sent. Only this time they cannot say “Wir haben es nicht gewusst” (We did not know).
The genocide in Gaza has done something tot he consciousness of millions of people. And this could happen because we live now in a world where social media is the world’s newsroom. Everbody could see what happened in Gaza and it produced a shock in our consciousness. And nobody could stop the flow of direct visual information that traveled through the world. Not our governments, not the mainstream media, no one.
And the streets and squares of the cities filled with protesters demanding an end to genocide and a free Palestine. Month after month, until last weekend, 4 and 5 September.
Something new has awakened in human consciousness. Compassion and love. All those millions in the streets and squares of the hundreds of cities and towns feel the suffering and pain of the Palestinian people and demand an end to it, defying their governments, the riot police sent against them in some of the cities.
The horror of Gaza in fact is the horror of a whole system that could hide behind well confectioned masks for a long time, manipulating the minds of the people, but is now naked to the world for all eyes to see. A violent system in its roots that has caused during its existence pain and suffering all over the planet and hundreds of millions deaths.
With the awakening of compassion and love for those who suffer, a new dawn is arising, that when it spreads its wings over the whole world, will eliminate all forms of violence and herald the beginning of the Universal Human Nation.
