Please find below the thank-you letter from the financial team coordinating Pressenza’s annual fundraising campaign. I would like to join in expressing my deep gratitude and also highlight that the English edition raised 30% more than in previous years. This suggests that our efforts are gaining greater recognition and contributing meaningfully to strengthening our voice and perspective. In any case, it is a real honor to receive your support.
David Andersson – English Editor

With the end of March – a month that symbolises financial independence for Pressenza – our fundraising campaign this year has also come to a successful close.

Thanks to 223 supporters from 21 countries across four continents, a total of €14,676 (US$17,025) was raised. Individual contributions ranged from €5 to €500, with an average donation of around €70. These figures are more than just statistics. They represent trust, solidarity and a shared commitment to a different form of journalism – journalism focused on non-violence and peace.

Especially at a time when violence, polarisation and disinformation are shaping public discourse, it becomes clear just how important our work is.  The support we have received as part of the campaign shows that many people share this view – and are willing to make a concrete contribution.

With this year’s donations, we can continue and further develop our work: multilingual publications, journalistic productions, and new initiatives and projects being prepared worldwide. Pressenza thus remains a space for voices that champion peace, non-violence and human dignity.

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who supported this campaign – whether through a donation, by sharing our content, or through their ongoing commitment to journalism that focuses not on sensationalism but on understanding.

Even though the campaign has now come to an end, the journey continues. Anyone wishing to support Pressenza can do so at any time: www.pressenza.com/donation/

Pressenza thrives on the people who believe in a future of peace and nonviolence – and who find ways to resist violence, both within and without.
