The Actual Death Toll: 1.7 Million Ukrainian Soldiers Are Dead

As the horrifying (real) numbers of dead and wounded Ukrainian soldiers begin to trickle into the exoteric circles of the Western media-sphere, it’s becoming even more clear how skewed, often to the point of criminality, most Western “mainstream” reporting on the war in Ukraine has been over the course of the last 3 and ½ years. According to military and political experts such as US Colonel Douglas MacGregor, US Lt. Colonel Daniel Davis, US Colonel and former US Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State Lawrence Wilkerson, Former US Presidential Advisor Jeffrey Sachs and many others, the genuinely agreed upon actual number of Ukrainian dead is somewhere between 1.3 and 2 million.(1),(2)

Recently, information uncovered via four separate hacks of Ukrainian databases (which was of course immediately labeled Russian propaganda across the board by most Western news media sources) revealed the following numbers of Ukrainian dead, year by year: 2022: 118,500. 2023: 405,400, 2024: 595,000, 2025: 621,000.

Total: 1.7 million Ukrainian military personnel dead.(3),(4),(5),(5a)

According to former CIA analyst Larry C. Johnson, “Ukraine is committing total suicide.” (6) Over two years ago, in June of 2023, I wrote an article that was published in Pressenza which basically said that if Ukraine continued on its present course that it would be the equivalent of committing suicide as a nation. In that same article I predicted that Ukraine’s army would break down in 2024 and “After that the political/optical aspect of the battle might squeak on into early or mid-2025, but not any longer than that.”(7) The military and geopolitical analysts that I mentioned in the first paragraph of this piece of writing were all in agreement with the basic assessment put forth in my article at the time it was published in 2023.

The Real Reason that the War in Ukraine Started and the Reason that it Continues

In several of my previous articles, I have gone over the series of events that led up to the current phase of the war in Ukraine. Rather than repeating them here though, I urge everyone reading this article to instead watch this relatively short explanation by Jeffrey Sachs. It’s absolutely imperative that EVERYONE at least hear this point of view out, a point of view that myself and many millions of others around the world share:

This is Why Lindsey Graham, Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron, Friedrich Mertz and Ursula von der Layen Want the War in Ukraine To Go On Endlessly

Although I’m in strong disagreement with most of the Trump administration’s domestic and economic policies, I am very much in agreement with the president’s current attempt to put an end to the proxy war in Ukraine. Russia is, as you read this, less than a few months away from pushing through what’s left of the Ukrainian army’s key front lines of defense.(8) In short, Ukraine is being annihilated by Russia. Even so, politicians like Lindsey Graham, Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, Freidrich Mertz and Ursula von der Layen want to escalate and keep this war going as long as they possibly can with absolutely no regard for what remains of Ukraine’s draftable population. No matter that 70% (and rapidly rising) of Ukraine’s population wants the war to end as quickly as possible via a diplomatic settlement.(8a)

The reason that US politicians want this war to continue is because their donors, the oligarchs who back their political careers, are making a boatload of money off of it and they are pushing their political sock-puppets to call for more and more war.(9),(10),(11) In the case of European vassal states’ current leaders, people like Starmer, Macron and Mertz, their desperation is doubly pathetic in that they’ve largely bet their countries’ economic futures on the success of “Project Ukraine”. In fact, Ursula von der Layen recently announced a plan to spend 1.8 Trillion euros on a trans-European military build-up aimed largely at combatting Russia over the course of the next decade.(12) What these myopic, Russophobic European leaders don’t understand (either that or they’re lying through their teeth) is that Russia doesn’t want more war and it isn’t going to invade other parts of Europe. Mark my words here – when this settlement between Russia and Ukraine happens it’ll be the UK, France and Germany, not Russia, pushing with all their might for more war.

SIDENOTE: Partisan Derangement Syndrome

There are people who actually believe that agreeing with Donald Trump on even one issue somehow makes you a traitor to the left. These are generally the same people that stayed quiet or argued with those of us who spoke out against the Israeli genocide during the 17 months that Joe Biden green-lighted, funded and armed it. This partisan politics derangement syndrome, whether it be red or blue tinted is, in my view, the most pathetic sort’ve kowtow to corporate/oligarchic power that currently exists. If we aren’t able to think for ourselves when it comes to the matter of wars (which are always backed 100% by both donor owned political parties) then we’ve got zero hope of overcoming the obvious divide and conquer method that’s been used against us for decades now by those currently in power.

Trump’s opening up lines of communication with Russia again (after 3 years of zero communication by the Biden administration) has absolutely been the right move. In fact, by reestablishing a dialogue with Russia, who are currently the number 1 nuclear power on planet earth, Trump has arguably circumvented a nuclear war that seemed to be coming closer and closer to a reality every week up until the day he took office. To not see this remarkable improvement in US-Russian relations, no matter what political party one belongs to or how much one dislikes Trump personally, is self-induced blindness.

The Fall of the House of Neocon

What we’ve been witnessing over the course of the last few years essentially boils down to the downfall of the unipolar, war-centered US neocon empire and the exposure of the supplicative nature of its European vassal states. With the rise of BRICS and the recent refusal of nonWestern countries to continue bowing to the perpetual threats, sanctions and violence of the US, the UK and NATO, the vast majority of the world has spoken loudly, especially since 2022. The impending collapse of the ultra-violent 21st century house that people like Paul Wolfowitz (R), William Kristol (D), Donald Rumsfeld (R), Victoria Nuland (D) and Lindsey Graham (R) built is now upon us. The era of endless wars seems like it might be coming to an end. A new era of cooperation with rather than constant war against our nonWestern earthly neighbors may be in the cards. Then again, as a great Western sage once said, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over”.

A question that looms is: Will the increasing global decentralization and nationalization that’s been accelerating due to the last 2 and 1/2 decades of US hegemonic violence bring a new set of problems with it? The answer is: Very likely, yes. That said, the unipolar era of US dominance is, already, a thing of the past. This is where we’re at, whether we like it or not.(13)

Western Russophobia

There’s been a whole lot of bullsh_t spewed about Russia in the West over the course of the last two decades. The ridiculously cartoonish view we have of Russia and Vladimir Putin is based largely on years of propaganda put out by those whose goal has been to crush Russia, to oust its leadership and to empty it of its resources. The usual US-neocon procedure. In truth, the US has been priming Ukraine for NATO entry for 30 years.(13a)

Russia is not a threat to the US. In fact, Russia would like nothing more than to make peace with the US. If you don’t believe this to be true then you are very seriously mistaken. Ukraine was calculatedly used by the US government and military as a battering ram, as a proxy to harm Russia without risking American lives.(14) If you don’t believe this now, you will KNOW it to be true within a few years. I personally guarantee you will know it, whether you like that I guarantee it or not.

This isn’t to say that Russia doesn’t have its problems. It does have problems. But Russia is a country of 140 million human beings who aren’t much different from you and me. In a future article I will go into more detail on this matter.
