From October 1 to 5, 2022, a delegation from the International Leonard Peltier Defense Committee will be in Italy as part of a series of European meetings, which will culminate in a meeting at the UN in Geneva.

The public meetings that the delegation will hold in various Italian cities in those five days, starting with Milan, are already being organized. Persons, groups, communities, associations, movements, trade unions and political organizations, ecclesial realities, institutions and the media who are interested in meeting the delegation can contact the Milanese Solidarity Committee for Leonard Peltier, by sending a message to the e-mail address bigoni.gastone@gmail.com. At the same email you can ask for the details to send a contribution to the costs. The delegation will be composed of Jean Roach, Lona Knight and Carol Gokee.

As is well known, Leonard Peltier, who will be 78 years old next Sept. 12, is a distinguished Native American activist defender of human rights, of all human beings and of the entire living world, an innocent prisoner for almost 47 years.

Personalities such as Nelson Mandela, Michail Gorbaciov, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, Desmond Tutu, the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli, Pope Francis and the Dalai Lama, and with them millions of people from all over the world, as well as a large number of humanitarian associations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights World and many democratic institutions including the European Parliament and the mayors of various Italian cities, have committed themselves to the liberation of Leonard Peltier, through the granting of presidential pardon by the President of the United States of America.
