The volunteer platform GoVolunteer honours Pressenza with the seal for “Excellent Engagement”.

  • Every year, GoVolunteer awards social projects that do exemplary work with volunteers. The following criteria are taken into account:
  • Transparency & project presentation
  • Good communication
  • Easy entry & personal support
  • Flexible & enriching commitment
  • Clear impact goals
  • Open project and team culture
  • Exchange and training opportunities

The justification for the award of the seal states: “Pressenza IPA is characterised by high quality in the supervision of volunteers and an enriching design of the engagement. Therefore, GoVolunteer strongly recommends Pressenza IPA as a place to work for all people who want to make a voluntary contribution to our society.”

GoVolunteer is Germany’s largest volunteer community. Since 2015, the social start-up has been bringing social projects across Germany together with people who want to help.

Pressenza is an open media project carried by an international network of volunteers who are committed to a journalism of peace and non-violence without financial compensation (see ‘work with us’).

“The collaboration with the volunteer platform is of great importance for us. Thanks to GoVolunteer, many committed volunteers have become aware of our project and become active co-workers,” explains Reto Thumiger, Volunteer Coordinator at Pressenza DACH.

This recognition makes us extremely happy and especially at the end of such a challenging year for non-violent journalism.

A big thank you from the whole Pressenza network to GoVolunteer.
