Once again, it is hard to breathe.
We paused to ask: should we postpone the summit? Between sirens, we held meetings, Zoom calls, and constant reassessments – and we decided to move forward as planned, because this moment makes the need for it even more urgent.
We don’t know whether, on April 30, there will still be war with Iran, or whether Lebanon will be burning. We don’t know how much more blood will be spilled by then.
Living should not be a luxury — and neither should sleeping through the night, sending children to school, or making plans that actually happen. Breathing.
As far as it is within our power, on April 30th we will come together at the People’s Peace Summit.
We will demand a different reality. A different policy. A different future. We will call for political agreements and regional stability.
We will insist on hope – even, and especially, when it feels most difficult.
