join for an hour, a day, a week or the whole walk from Europe to Al-Quds/Jerusalem. Let’s create this walk together.

Introduction The Peacewalk is a movement calling people from all over the world to walk together in a common call for peace and to learn what real peace is about. It is a collective pilgrimage from the far ends of Europe to Al-Quds/Jerusalem, following the famous Jerusalem Way, the longest peace path in the world. Everybody can join for an hour, a day, a week of the entire walk. This pilgrimage represents a commitment to peace through shared experience and understanding.

Purpose and Rationale The initiative addresses the helplessness when faced with the dreadful situation in Palestine and Israel and the division it causes around the world. Peacewalks have been in history the resistance of the powerless. This Peacewalk aims to learn from Palestinian and Israeli Peacebuilders and to support their work at the same time. Besides that it’s a place where citizens of this world dedicate themself to learn what peacebuilding is about. Walking together fosters dialogue and understanding, allowing participants to reflect, connect, and learn the essential work of reconciliation. Experts will be asked to share lessons learned the way. If war in Israel and Palestine can divide the world, peacebuilders can unite the world.
