The Third Open Assembly of the World Humanist Forum will take place virtually on Saturday, July 19, 2025, starting at 10 a.m. Argentina/Brazil (1 p.m. GMT, 7 a.m. Mexico/Central America, 9 a.m. Chile/U.S. East Coast; 1:00 p.m. Ivory Coast, 2:00 p.m. Democratic Republic of Congo, 3:00 p.m. CET, Mozambique and Egypt; 4:00 p.m. Kenya, Uganda and Moscow, 4:30 p.m. Iran, 6:30 p.m. Mumbai; 9:00 p.m. Philippines and Beijing; 10:00 p.m. Japan).

The fourteen thematic tables that currently constitute the backbone of the Forum are researching and producing material in the areas of Education, Health, Economy and Universal Basic Income, Peace and Disarmament, Human Rights, Social Ecology and Climate Change.

Likewise, revolutions and psychosocial phenomena are being studied, deepening and raising awareness of humanistic attitudes and moments in different cultures, and generating multiple actions against gender violence, as well as in relation to the displacement of populations due to war, particularly in the case of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The current framework of the World Humanist Forum is completed by the Round Table of Citizens’ Assemblies for a Global System Change, the Round Table on Decolonization, and the Round Tables on Sports and Art for Peace and Nonviolence, together with the one that addresses Peace in History and the History of Peace.

These round tables, which are international and multicultural in nature, will be joined at this Assembly by one that will address, in an educational manner, the different aspects of Personal Development as an irreplaceable complement to social transformation.

Among the main topics to be discussed are the current development and, above all, the future direction of the thematic round tables and the Forum as a whole, with the inclusion of new organizations, figures from the academic and political spheres, and social groups that share a nonviolent and non-discriminatory outlook.

Of crucial importance in this call and transversal to the different themes will be the current world situation, marked by growing warmongering and contempt for human life on the part of criminal governments in different parts of the world, as well as the possibility of contributing to the emergence of a new system of relations between peoples and nations based on cooperation and brotherhood, in the face of the evident collapse of the hegemonic status quo, a remnant of centuries of colonialism.
A massive turnout from the five continents is expected, as previous Assemblies have attracted great interest with the participation of social activists from 50 countries.

Any person or organization is invited to actively participate in the World Humanist Forum, a permanent space for convergence between individuals and institutions from the most diverse cultures of the world. Participation is open under the condition of not promoting discrimination or intolerance, nor promoting or using violence as a method of action to impose concepts or ideals.
