{"id":99285,"date":"2014-04-05T18:27:32","date_gmt":"2014-04-05T17:27:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pressenza.com\/?p=99285"},"modified":"2014-04-09T17:17:02","modified_gmt":"2014-04-09T16:17:02","slug":"stradivarius-neolithique-lorchestre-national-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pressenza.com\/fr\/2014\/04\/stradivarius-neolithique-lorchestre-national-france\/","title":{"rendered":"Le stradivarius n\u00e9olithique et l&rsquo;Orchestre National de France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"right\"><b>Le 22 mars dernier, l\u2019auditorium du Mus\u00e9um National d\u2019Histoire Naturelle a \u00e9t\u00e9 le cadre d\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement exceptionnel\u00a0: un concert de pal\u00e9omusique par l\u2019Orchestre National de France.<br \/>\nA l\u2019occasion du 80<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> anniversaire de l\u2019ONF, \u00a0Philippe Fenelon a compos\u00e9 une musique pour lithophone n\u00e9olithique pour illustrer un conte \u00e9crit pour l\u2019occasion par Erik Gonthier\u00a0:<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00bb <i>Hana\u00e9 et les pierres musicales<\/i> \u00ab\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce lithophone est compos\u00e9 d\u2019un ensemble de 22 pierres taill\u00e9es entre -8ooo et -2500 avant JC. 22 \u00ab\u00a0boudins\u00a0\u00bb min\u00e9raux cylindriques trouv\u00e9s dans les sables sahariens de diff\u00e9rents pays, dormaient depuis des ann\u00e9es dans les tiroirs du Mus\u00e9um d\u2019Histoire Naturelle consacr\u00e9s aux pilons. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019Erik Gonthier ait l\u2019intuition qu\u2019elles n\u2019avaient peut \u00eatre rien \u00e0 voir avec la mouture des c\u00e9r\u00e9ales.\u00a0 <i>\u00ab Les hommes pr\u00e9historiques \u00e9taient beaucoup plus intelligents que ce que le XIXe si\u00e8cle a bien voulu nous faire croire. Un instrument de musique, c&rsquo;est quoi ? Un timbre et de la r\u00e9sonance. J&rsquo;ai tap\u00e9 sur un des pilons, il produisait un son magnifique\u00a0\u00bb<em> <\/em><\/i>racontait Erik Gonthier \u00e0 l\u2019issue du concert.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>L\u2019une de ces pierres, pesant 4,5 kg sonne comme une cloche d\u2019\u00e9glise avec une r\u00e9sonance de pr\u00e8s de 8 secondes\u00a0: elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 surnomm\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0stradivarius\u00a0\u00bb.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pressenza.com\/fr\/2014\/04\/reportage-photo-musique-paleolithique-au-museum-dhistoire-naturelle\/\">Voir le reportage photo sur Pressenza <\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>\u00ab Ces lithophones n&rsquo;ont jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 jou\u00e9s ensemble, ni maintenant ni \u00e0 la pr\u00e9histoire<\/i>, poursuit avec un sourire l\u2019iconoclaste min\u00e9raliste Erik Gonthier. Et <strong>il n\u2019est pas le seul \u00e0 penser que ce concert est une h\u00e9r\u00e9sie<\/strong>, m\u00eame s\u2019il a touch\u00e9, \u00e9merveill\u00e9, transport\u00e9 ses auditeurs. Claire Gaillard, sp\u00e9cialiste des outils en pierre taill\u00e9e du pal\u00e9olithique, \u00e9tait farouchement oppos\u00e9e \u00e0 cette aventure musicale. <em>\u00ab En utilisant ces objets, <\/em>explique-t-elle,<em> on efface les microtraces qu&rsquo;on peut y d\u00e9couvrir au microscope, les stri\u00e9s, les polis, les petites percussions qui vont raconter<\/em><em> l&rsquo;usage qui en \u00e9tait fait. \u00bb<\/em> Elle admet aussi que dans ce cas \u00ab\u00a0l<em>es traces \u00e9taient d\u00e9j\u00e0 masqu\u00e9es, ces objets ont \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9s dans les sables, pas dans des lieux pr\u00e9serv\u00e9s, et Erik Gonthier a sans doute d\u00e9j\u00e0 percut\u00e9 ces objets des dizaines de fois \u00bb<\/em>. Cette musique a s\u00fbrement peu de chose \u00e0 voir avec celle de la pr\u00e9histoire \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que <strong>ces pierres musicales n\u2019appartenaient pas au m\u00eame lithophone<\/strong>\u00a0: on ignore donc comment il \u00e9tait \u00ab\u00a0accord\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire quelle \u00e9chelle de fr\u00e9quence (quelle \u00e9cart entre les notes) avait \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie. Le compositeur\u00a0 de \u00a0\u00bb <i>Hana\u00e9 et les pierres musicales<\/i><b> \u00a0\u00bb <\/b>a eu recours \u00e0 une m\u00e9thode personnelle\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0<i>Chaque tonalit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9e puis analys\u00e9e. Nous avons ensuite num\u00e9rot\u00e9 ces pierres pour les placer dans un ordre allant du grave \u00e0 l&rsquo;aigu<\/i>\u00ab\u00a0, explique-t-il quelques jours plus t\u00f4t au cours d&rsquo;une r\u00e9p\u00e9tition. Erik Gonthier pr\u00e9cise d\u2019ailleurs \u00ab\u00a0<em>Ce qui m&rsquo;int\u00e9ressait, c&rsquo;est le c\u00f4t\u00e9 un peu sale de ces pierres. Ce sont des quarts de ton, des tiers de ton que j&rsquo;ai organis\u00e9s sur la table du grave \u00e0 l&rsquo;aigu. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La musique pr\u00e9historique n&rsquo;est pas non plus une nouveaut\u00e9. <strong>On connaissait d\u00e9j\u00e0 les fl\u00fbtes en os de rapaces datant de pr\u00e9s de 30 000 ans<\/strong>. En 1954, l&rsquo;ethnologue Georges Condominas avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 utilis\u00e9 pour jouer de la musique \u00ab les onze pierres du Vietnam \u00bb actuellement au Mus\u00e9e du quai Branly. <i>\u00ab Il s&rsquo;agissait de lithophones laminaires ! \u00bb<\/i>, pr\u00e9cise Erik Gonthier. Les si\u00e8cles pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents consid\u00e9raient les hommes de la pr\u00e9histoire comme \u00eatres \u00e0 peine sortis de l\u2019animalit\u00e9, des \u00eatres rustres, grossiers, mus uniquement par leurs pulsions de base. Depuis quelques d\u00e9cennies, les arch\u00e9ologues commencent \u00e0 \u00e9tudier ces civilisations avec un regard beaucoup plus humain\u00a0: alors \u00e9mergent des monographies sur les arts de la pr\u00e9histoire, la religiosit\u00e9, sujets bien \u00e9loign\u00e9s des consid\u00e9rations bassement mat\u00e9rielles. \u00a0Alors, le grand public commence \u00e0 contempler autrement les peintures c\u00e9l\u00e8bres de la pr\u00e9histoire et se rend compte que ceux qui les ont ex\u00e9cut\u00e9es ne pouvaient \u00eatre que des artistes. Peu de nos contemporains, mis \u00e0 part les peintres, pourraient en \u00eatre les auteurs. Ce changement de perspective sur notre histoire n\u2019est pas un d\u00e9tail. Il m\u00e8ne \u00e0 penser que l\u2019\u00e9volution humaine n\u2019est pas forc\u00e9ment uniquement li\u00e9e \u00e0 des n\u00e9cessit\u00e9s mat\u00e9rielles.
