La F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Europ\u00e9enne des Industries et Associations Pharmaceutiques (Efpia) est l\u2019organisation professionnelle europ\u00e9enne qui repr\u00e9sente les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s pharmaceutiques et leurs associations nationales. Leur objectif est sp\u00e9cifique et clair\u00a0: ils veulent \u00eatre les porte-paroles de 1.900 soci\u00e9t\u00e9s sur le march\u00e9 europ\u00e9en qui sont \u2013 selon leur site web \u2013 \u00ab\u00a0engag\u00e9es dans la recherche, le d\u00e9veloppement et la fourniture aux patients de nouveaux rem\u00e8des qui am\u00e9lioreront la sant\u00e9 et la qualit\u00e9 de vie de par le monde\u00a0\u00bb. Des repr\u00e9sentants de l\u2019industrie pharmaceutique ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s pharmaceutiques visent le profit et ne sont pas des organismes de bienfaisance. Elles ont des actionnaires qui veulent un b\u00e9n\u00e9fice et ont des attentes \u00e9lev\u00e9es. Bien s\u00fbr, elles \u0153uvrent dans le secteur sensible de la sant\u00e9, mais elles ont de nombreux emplois \u00e0 conserver et doivent assumer des recherches qui prennent du temps et co\u00fbtent cher, bien que les donn\u00e9es de nature \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer ce dernier argument ne soient pas facilement disponibles. Dans le monde, et certainement en Europe o\u00f9 elle est soutenue par des politiques gouvernementales, l\u2019industrie pharmaceutique dicte les r\u00e8gles du jeu. L\u2019on peut affirmer qu\u2019Efpia est un syndicat efficace.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Le b\u00e2t blesse lorsque ce \u00ab\u00a0monument\u00a0\u00bb de l\u2019industrie pharmaceutique (Efpia) adopte un profil diff\u00e9rent de celui que nous connaissons plus ou moins. Outre le concept largement mis en avant de responsabilit\u00e9 sociale des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s (CSR), Efpia lance des campagnes usant de hashtags tels que \u00ab\u00a0#WeWontRest\u00a0\u00bb (nous ne conna\u00eetrons pas le repos). L\u2019industrie pharmaceutique donne l\u2019impression d\u2019avoir acquis une conscience morale.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous ne conna\u00eetrons pas le repos jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que tous les citoyens du Portugal aient acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019innovation en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9clare le pr\u00e9sident portugais de APIFARMA, une phrase qui serait mieux \u00e0 sa place dans la bouche du ministre portugais de la sant\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0Nous ne conna\u00eetrons pas le repos jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que nous ayons d\u00e9couvert un traitement pour chaque type de cancer\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9clare la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pharmaceutique suisse JANSSEN.<\/p>\n<p>La cupidit\u00e9 des actionnaires n\u2019est gu\u00e8re compatible avec un acc\u00e8s g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u00e0 l\u2019innovation dans des syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 souffrant d\u2019une crise \u00e9conomique. Se concentrer sur le d\u00e9veloppement de rem\u00e8des tr\u00e8s co\u00fbteux permettant surtout de lutter contre les cancers en phase terminale n\u2019aide pas vraiment. Il en va de m\u00eame pour le d\u00e9p\u00f4t abusif d\u2019un brevet de 20 ans, en modifiant l\u00e9g\u00e8rement une mol\u00e9cule pour la r\u00e9introduire publiquement comme une \u00ab\u00a0innovation\u00a0\u00bb afin de saper la concurrence des m\u00e9dicaments g\u00e9n\u00e9riques. Il est certain que l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux m\u00e9dications est entrav\u00e9 lorsque l\u2019UE et la Commission adoptent les r\u00e9cits de l\u2019industrie pharmaceutique, ses n\u00e9gociations de prix \u00e0 huis clos et promulgue des r\u00e8gles qui prot\u00e8gent les int\u00e9r\u00eats des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s pharmaceutiques.
