C\u2019est ce que relatait le media chinois sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/cnevpost.com\/2023\/02\/23\/hina-battery-puts-sodium-ion-batteries-in-sehol-e10x\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00abCnEVpost\u00bb<\/a>. Le JAC Sehol-E10X est un prototype de petite voiture \u00e9quip\u00e9e en s\u00e9rie d\u2019une batterie sodium-ion.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1728910\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1728910\" class=\"wp-image-1728910 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pressenza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/sehol-2023022307384574-1024x641-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"641\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pressenza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/sehol-2023022307384574-1024x641-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.pressenza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/sehol-2023022307384574-1024x641-1-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pressenza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/sehol-2023022307384574-1024x641-1-820x513.jpg 820w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1728910\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">La JAC Sehol-E10X est la premi\u00e8re voiture \u00e9quip\u00e9e en s\u00e9rie d\u2019une batterie sodium-ion. \u00a9 Sehol<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Le v\u00e9hicule-test roule avec un ensemble d\u2019accus d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 de 25 kilowatt\/heure (kWh) et une densit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9nergie de 120 watt-heure par kilogramme (Wh\/kg). En situation de test, la voiture aurait un rayon d\u2019action de 250 km. La dur\u00e9e de vie atteindrait 2 000 \u00e0 3 000 cycles de charge, indique le constructeur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arriv\u00e9 inopin\u00e9ment d\u2019un endroit o\u00f9 on ne l\u2019attendait pas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 ce jour, les batteries sodium-ion n\u2019ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9es que dans de petits v\u00e9hicules, comme des v\u00e9los ou utilis\u00e9es comme batteries. Certes, on annon\u00e7ait r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement des perc\u00e9es ou des innovations, mais jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, elles n\u2019avaient pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme acceptables.<\/p>\n<p>On se serait plut\u00f4t attendu \u00e0 ce qu\u2019une telle nouveaut\u00e9 vienne d\u2019un grand fabricant de batteries comme CATL, LG Energy ou BYD, mais pas d\u2019un petit entrepreneur chinois comme Hina (en fran\u00e7ais : eau de mer ou sel marin).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coop\u00e9ration avec Volkswagen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La voiture au sodium a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par Sehol, une marque de JAC-Volkswagen. Quant \u00e0 JAC, c\u2019est une entreprise chinoise qui a fait un joint-venture avec Volkswagen et qui appartient pour moiti\u00e9 \u00e0 VW.<\/p>\n<p>La capacit\u00e9 de la batterie (120 Wh\/kg) n\u2019est pas plus mauvaise que celle de la Tesla mod\u00e8le 3 de 2020, l\u2019ensemble de batteries est juste un peu plus lourd, annoncent plusieurs portails de la tech comme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golem.de\/news\/akkutechnik-haina-stellt-erstes-auto-mit-natrium-ionen-akku-vor-2302-172125.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00abGolem\u00bb<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/t3n.de\/news\/wetterbestaendig-schnell-geladen-erstes-auto-natrium-ionen-akku-1537019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">t3n<\/a>. Les cellules que l\u2019on fabrique aujourd\u2019hui d\u00e9veloppent selon \u00ab CnEVPost \u00bb 140 Wh\/kg. Hina fabrique aussi des batteries de 150 et 155 Wh\/kg.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019apr\u00e8s \u00ab CnEVPost \u00bb, le leader mondial \u2014 chinois \u2014 CATL fabrique depuis 2021 des batteries au sodium d\u2019une densit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9nergie de 160 Wh\/kg et entend atteindre \u00e0 la nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration les 200 Wh\/kg \u2014 ce qui correspond grosso modo \u00e0 la densit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9nergie des batteries au lithium actuelles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Des pertes d\u2019autonomie n\u00e9gligeables, mais des temps de charge raccourcis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hina s\u2019attend \u00e0 des avanc\u00e9es prometteuses dans d\u2019autres domaines encore. La batterie au sodium r\u00e9sisterait mieux aux temp\u00e9ratures basses que les batteries au lithium et se rechargerait plus vite. \u00c0 &#8211; 20\u00b0C, elle conserverait encore 90 % de ses capacit\u00e9s ; \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante, elle se rechargerait \u00e0 80 % en 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>La pr\u00e9sentation de la voiture a suscit\u00e9 une grande attention, d\u2019autant plus que le lithium fait partie des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res les plus convoit\u00e9es au monde. Le m\u00e9tal l\u00e9ger est extrait essentiellement en Am\u00e9rique du Sud, dans des conditions environnementales d\u00e9plorables, alors que le sodium est pr\u00e9sent presque partout et facile d\u2019acc\u00e8s. L\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment au symbole chimique Na est entre autres un composant du sel de mer et du sel de table (chlorure de sodium).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Renoncer au lithium et aux autres mat\u00e9riaux controvers\u00e9s<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les batteries sodium-ion ne sont pas seulement tr\u00e8s avantageuses. Au contraire de leur pendant au lithium, elles s\u2019en sortent bien en dehors de toute autre mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re telle que le cuivre, le cobalt ou le nickel. Hina d\u00e9crit ici ses batteries sodium-ion comme des BSI (batteries sodium-ion). \u00a9 Hina<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, CATL n\u2019utilise ni cobalt, ni nickel dans ses batteries au sodium. <a href=\"https:\/\/cnevpost.com\/2022\/11\/22\/byd-to-mass-produce-sodium-ion-batteries-q2-2023-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BYD<\/a>, le deuxi\u00e8me plus gros producteur de batteries, a annonc\u00e9 pour le deuxi\u00e8me trimestre 2023 la production en s\u00e9rie de batteries sodium-ion.
