La d\u00e9couverte a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la recherche sur le comportement des ondes sismiques. L&rsquo;\u00e9quipe a utilis\u00e9 le m\u00eame algorithme que celui qui est appliqu\u00e9 pour analyser les galaxies lointaines, selon un article publi\u00e9 dans la revue <a href=\"https:\/\/science.sciencemag.org\/content\/368\/6496\/1183\">Science<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Text-root Text-type_5 ArticleView-text ViewText-root \">\n<p>La structure d\u00e9couverte est situ\u00e9e sous les \u00eeles Marquises dans le Pacifique Sud, qui sont de type volcanique. En outre, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que la structure sous ces \u00eeles hawa\u00efennes est beaucoup plus grande que ce que l&rsquo;on croyait auparavant.
