El instrumento de la Espectroscopia de Descomposici\u00f3n Inducida por L\u00e1ser a bordo del explorador confirma sin duda la presencia de azufre en la superficie lunar cerca del polo sur, a trav\u00e9s de las primeras mediciones in situ. Tambi\u00e9n se han detectado Al, Ca, Fe, Cr, Ti, Mn, Si y ox\u00edgeno, como se esperaba.
