Der von Arnold Schwarzenegger initiierte Klimagipfel bringt haupts\u00e4chlich Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus Wirtschaft und Politik zusammen. \u201eDer Blick auf das Programm des Austrian World Summits \u00e4hnelt mehr einem Wirtschaftsgipfel als einer Klimakonferenz. Echte politische Konsequenzen sind nicht zu erwarten. Dabei w\u00e4ren konkrete politische Impulse mehr denn je gefragt \u2013 sowohl in der Umweltpolitik als auch in der Wirtschafts-, Sozial- und Entwicklungspolitik\u201c,sagt S\u00fcdwind-Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer Konrad Rehling.<strong>\u00a0\u201eDie von Arnold Schwarzenegger oft eingeforderte \u201aAction\u2018 im Klimaschutz wird f\u00fcnf Jahre nach dem ersten Austrian World Summit immer noch schmerzlich vermisst. Mit ein Grund daf\u00fcr ist der gro\u00dfe Einfluss von fossilen Wirtschaftslobbys, die beim Klimaschutz konsequent auf der Bremse stehen und gleichzeitig bei Klimagipfeln auf der B\u00fchne sitzen. F\u00fcr die Hauptbetroffenen der Klimakrise bleibt die M\u00f6glichkeit zur politischen Teilhabe hingegen d\u00fcrftig.\u201c<\/strong> S\u00fcdwind fordert ein Umdenken im Sinne der Klimagerechtigkeit, weg von der alleinigen Fokussierung auf das BIP-Wachstum hin zu einem sozial gerechten Wirtschaftssystem im Einklang mit \u00f6kologischen Belastungsgrenzen. Dazu m\u00fcssten junge Menschen als Hauptbetroffene in klimapolitische Entscheidungen einbezogen werden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Die Vereinten Nationen bef\u00fcrchten, dass schon in den n\u00e4chsten 20 Jahren mehr als 200 Millionen Menschen aufgrund der Klimakrise von ihrem Zuhause vertrieben werden. Gleichzeitig verfehlen reiche L\u00e4nder wie \u00d6sterreich seit Jahren ihre Klimaschutzvorgaben. Zus\u00e4tzlich zu ambitionierten Ma\u00dfnahmen f\u00fcr die rasche und umfassende Dekarbonisierung der Wirtschaft fordert S\u00fcdwind neue wirtschafts-, sozial- und entwicklungspolitische Ma\u00dfnahmen. Demnach braucht es vor allem ein rechtliches Schutzsystem f\u00fcr Menschen im Globalen S\u00fcden, die aufgrund der Klimakrise ihr Zuhause verlassen m\u00fcssen, eine konsequent \u00f6kosozial ausgerichtete F\u00f6rder- und Steuerpolitik sowie ein starkes Lieferkettengesetz, das verbindliche Regeln f\u00fcr Unternehmen f\u00fcr nachhaltiges und faires Wirtschaften vorschreibt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">\u201eDie gr\u00f6\u00dften Leidtragenden der Klimakrise sind Menschen, denen die Mittel zur Anpassung fehlen. Das sind vor allem Menschen in armen L\u00e4ndern sowie junge Menschen\u201c, sagt Konrad Rehling. \u201e<strong>Die\u00a0kurzsichtige Politik der Minimalkompromisse wird erst dann ein Ende finden, wenn den Hauptbetroffenen der Klimakrise endlich das n\u00f6tige Geh\u00f6r geschenkt wird und Klimakonferenzen nicht zu B\u00fchnen der Selbstinszenierung verkommen.\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n<p
