Die Protestwoche startet mit einer Fotoaktionen am heutigen Dienstag um 12 Uhr vor dem Bundeskanzleramt. Am kommenden Sonntag beteiligt sich das B\u00fcndnis dann an einer Demonstration, die um 14 Uhr vor dem Willy-Brandt-Haus beginnt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Das zivilgesellschaftliche B\u00fcndnis hat sich im letzten Monat gegr\u00fcndet, um den Druck auf die Bundesregierung zu erh\u00f6hen, ihre Blockadehaltung bei den WTO-Verhandlungen zum sogenannten &#8222;TRIPS-Waiver&#8220; zu beenden und sich f\u00fcr die Aussetzung von Patentrechten auf Covid-19-Impfstoffe und Medikamente einzusetzen. W\u00e4hrend mehr als 100 L\u00e4nder die bereits im Oktober 2020 von S\u00fcdafrika und Indien erhobene Forderung nach Aussetzung der Patente unterst\u00fctzen und auch die USA mittlerweile Verhandlungsbereitschaft signalisiert hat, bleiben die Europ\u00e4ische Union und die Bundesregierung bei ihrer Blockadehaltung.<\/p>\n<p>Malte Radde, Nationalkoordinator von Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) in Deutschland, erkl\u00e4rt: \u201eHilfsangebote wie Impfstoffspenden oder COVAX-Lieferungen reichen nicht aus, um die Pandemie weltweit zu beenden. Die COVAX-Initiative, die mit freiwilligen Beitr\u00e4gen der Industriel\u00e4nder Impfstoffe f\u00fcr die \u00e4rmsten L\u00e4nder kaufen und verteilen soll, ist nur ein Tropfen auf den hei\u00dfen Stein. Als Feigenblatt ohne starke Verhandlungsmacht gegen\u00fcber den Herstellern bleibt sie bisher weit hinter den selbstgesteckten Zielen zur\u00fcck und hat nur einen geringen Beitrag zur Bek\u00e4mpfung der Pandemie im Globalen S\u00fcden geleistet.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Nur eine Aussetzung der Patente k\u00f6nne das n\u00f6tige Tempo schaffen, welches es angesichts neuer Mutationen bed\u00fcrfe. \u201eJedes Leben z\u00e4hlt &#8211; weltweit! Wenn jetzt die Impfpatente ausgesetzt werden, k\u00f6nnen in einem halben Jahr genug Impfstoffe f\u00fcr alle produziert und Millionen Menschenleben gerettet werden&#8220;, sagt Helga Reimund von Attac. &#8222;Die Impfstoffe wurden mit \u00f6ffentlichem Geld finanziert. Sie m\u00fcssen deswegen auch ein globales \u00f6ffentliches Gut sein.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Andreas Wulf von medico international erg\u00e4nzt:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8222;Die Pandemie ist erst vorbei, wenn sie f\u00fcr alle vorbei ist.
