Das ist nicht nur angesichts der weltweiten Corona-Pandemie, in der wir uns noch immer befinden, sondern auch aus friedenspolitischen Gr\u00fcnden absolut inakzeptabel\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Alexander S. Neu, Obmann im Verteidigungsausschuss und Osteuropabeauftragter f\u00fcr die Fraktion DIE LINKE, angesichts der vom Verteidigungsministerium ver\u00f6ffentlichten Pl\u00e4ne zur Fortf\u00fchrung von &#8222;Defender Europe 2020&#8220; als &#8222;Defender 20 Plus&#8220;. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Neu weiter: \u201eNeben den bereits Mitte Mai angek\u00fcndigten Gefechts\u00fcbungen in Polen sollen nun ab dem 10. Juli auch auf dem Truppen\u00fcbungsplatz Bergen\/Munster verschiedene gegen Russland gerichtete milit\u00e4rische Szenarien ge\u00fcbt werden. Dazu werden in den n\u00e4chsten Wochen zirka 600 US-Soldatinnen und Soldaten aus den Vereinigten Staaten nach Deutschland verlegt. Diese werden dann gemeinsam mit 400 weiteren bereits in Deutschland stationierten US-Soldatinnen und Soldaten und mit dem im Rahmen von Defender Europe 2020 nach Deutschland verschifften Material \u00fcben. Die Bundeswehr selbst nimmt zwar an der \u00dcbung nicht teil, ist aber bereit, Unterst\u00fctzungsleistungen zu erbringen. Alle anderen europ\u00e4ischen Staaten sind nicht beteiligt.<\/p>\n<p>US-Pr\u00e4sident Donald Trump hatte erst Anfang dieser Woche einen m\u00f6glichen Abzug von US-Truppen aus Deutschland angek\u00fcndigt. DIE LINKE hat diese Entscheidung begr\u00fc\u00dft und fordert auch daher die Bundesregierung auf, keine US-Milit\u00e4rman\u00f6ver auf deutschem Staatsgebiet mehr zu erm\u00f6glichen \u2013 erst recht nicht, solange wir uns noch mitten in einer Pandemie befinden. Dar\u00fcber hinaus darf sich die Bundeswehr weder materiell, noch logistisch oder personell an der Fortf\u00fchrung dieses Milit\u00e4rwahnsinns beteiligen. Milit\u00e4rische Kriegsspiele sind momentan das letzte, was wir brauchen: Sie erh\u00f6hen nicht nur die Gefahr, dass sich das Corona-Virus wieder weiter ausbreitet, sondern auch die Gefahr einer milit\u00e4rischen Eskalation. Beides darf unter keinen Umst\u00e4nden zugelassen werden.
