Im Zeitalter von manchmal falschen, oft aber zu viel Informationen kostet es einige M\u00fchen, sich zu entscheiden, welchen Problemen man als Menschenrechtsorganisation wieviel Aufmerksamkeit schenkt\u201c schreibt Wolfgang Kaleck, ECCHR-Generalsekret\u00e4r in unserem Jahresbericht 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Der Klimawandel und die damit zusammenh\u00e4ngende Umweltzerst\u00f6rung waren die bestimmenden Themen 2019. F\u00fcr uns als Menschenrechtsorganisation allerdings gab und gibt es neben der \u00f6kologischen Krise viele weitere Herausforderungen und F\u00e4lle, um Betroffenen von Menschenrechtsverletzungen mit juristischen Mitteln beiseite zu stehen.<\/p>\n

Sei es in Syrien, im Jemen oder an den europ\u00e4ischen Au\u00dfengrenzen \u2013 an vielen Orten in der Welt werden die politischen, b\u00fcrgerlichen, wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Rechte von Menschen ausgesetzt oder verletzt. Kriege, Repression und Ressourcenausbeutung sowie die Folgen der aktuellen Corona-Krise werden die Lage vieler Menschen weiter verschlechtern.<\/p>\n

Die gute Nachricht ist aber, dass wir im Kampf f\u00fcr Menschenrechte bei weitem nicht allein sind. Viele Organisationen, Einzelpersonen und Protestbewegungen, insbesondere der j\u00fcngeren Generation, setzen sich lautstark f\u00fcr andere, besonders marginalisierte Menschen ein. Das gibt uns Hoffnung und best\u00e4rkt uns tagt\u00e4glich in unserer Arbeit \u2013 f\u00fcr eine gerechtere und solidarischere Welt. Das belegt und dokumentiert der ECCHR-Jahresbericht 2019.<\/p>\n
