Navdanya International

L'Associazione Navdanya International - Onlus è stata creata in Italia nel 2011 allo scopo di sostenere la missione di Navdanya a livello internazionale. L’organizzazione promuove un nuovo paradigma agricolo ed economico, una cultura del “cibo come salute”, in cui prevalgono la responsabilità ecologica e la giustizia economica. Fra gli obiettivi dell’organizzazione emergono la protezione della natura e della biodiversità, la difesa delle culture e delle conoscenze indigene e tradizionali, la difesa del diritto dei consumatori ad un'alimentazione sana e libera da veleni, la tutela del diritto degli agricoltori e dei cittadini comuni di conservare, scambiare, coltivare e selezionare liberamente i semi, nonché il riscatto dei beni comuni come fondamento di un rinnovato senso di comunità, solidarietà e di una cultura di pace. Le campagne internazionali, il coordinamento di incontri, dibattiti e conferenze e le campagne politiche di Navdanya International sono incentrate sull’analisi del contesto dei sistemi agro-alimentari e del loro stretto legame con le condizioni del suolo, della biodiversità e degli ecosistemi, con la resilienza climatica e la giustizia sociale.
