Outraged and organised, six million women and allies will once again take the streets of Washington and cities around the world marching for women’s and humans rights

In light of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony of sexual assault and a delay in the full Senate vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh’s lifetime seat on the U.S. Supreme Court, Women’s March and Women’s March Global have announced that their second anniversary march will take place on 19 – 20 Jan, 2019.

“This week’s events have reminded the nation and the world how important it is that we come together, stand up and speak out to create a more fair and equitable world for women,” shares Lara Stein, Executive Director of Women’s March Global. “Too many of us have stories similar to Christine’s, many of us too fearful to share them. Sexual assault survivors must be heard. We #BelieveHer and we #BelieveSurvivors.”

In 2017 following the Presidential election, six million people marched around the world in the largest peaceful protest in U.S. history. The #WomensWave is coming with the intention to sweep up the world along with it – bigger, louder, and more powerful than ever before.

“Women’s March Global seeks to unite and empower women in pursuit of a more equitable world and advocates for the health, economic security, representation and safety of women,” says Director of Global Community Uma Mishra-Newbery. “The only way we, and the world, understand our collective power as women is by coming together. The Women’s March Global Platform is creating a space for all women activists and organisations to connect so the world can see the collective power of our actions.”

It’s time to march again. Sign up for the Global Platform here and stay tuned for more information on the #WomensWave.
