At 7.00 in the morning, one hour later than planned, the North-East route of the Outraged People’s March set off from Plaza Cataluña in Barcelona. Some fifty people started the journey on foot towards Vallirana on this first stage of 23 Km.

The majority hope to make the whole journey to Madrid, although some people will only do a few days at the start and others will join in along the way. There will be different forms of participation, including people who come along at weekends, but it is expected that the final part of the journey will be more full of people.

Rafael de la Rubia, Coordinator of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence is participating in this first stage and contributing to the organisation with his experience.
