The situation of inequality and violence that is exerted against women will not be modified solely through penal measures. Laws are not sufficient to generate new behaviour in societies and amongst individual; it is necessary to create consciousness such that exercising any form of violence against women becomes genuinely repulsive.

Measures of an educational nature are also necessary, such as raising girls and boys under equal conditions from early childhood at home, at school, in institutions, in the streets, and in the media.

It is necessary for those who are already conscious to convert themselves into models and references through exemplary behaviour, showing respect and care for all people, not abusing of power and strength, because children imitate what they see and if they see that they are treated in the best possible way, they will treat others in the same way whereas if they are treated with violence, they will be violent.

When conflicts arise in relations between people, it is worth learning to resolve them through dialogue and direct communication.

Likewise, it is necessary to demand Women’s Rights, to make them present in the consciousness of the countries of the world, of heads of state, heads of International Organisations, and people who shape public opinion, as well as in the media, and above all to incorporate them into everyday social practices such that they take effect and allow rapid advancement towards a society that is diverse but equal in opportunities, a society where every human being truly counts.
