The Muslim Students’ Association of Burkina Faso has become a member of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence

Noufou Tiendrebeogo, President of the Muslim Student’s Association AEEMB which includes more than 100,000 members, explained: "We are becoming a member of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence because the promotion of peace (the root of the word Islam) is the very essence of the Muslim religion and the sine qua non for development".

Pressenza Ouagadougou, 15/09/09 The Muslim students’ Association of Burkina Faso has officially become a member of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence.

Noufou Tiendrebeogo, President of the Association explained: "We are becoming a member of the world march for peace and non violence because the promotion of peace (the root of the word Islam) is the very essence of the Muslim religion and the sine qua non for development". He added: “Our commitment to the promotion of peace and non violence shall be fulfilled through our participation in the various activities which will be organized in Burkina Faso as part of the World March”.

Created in 1986, the Muslim Students’ Association in Burkina Faso (AEEMB) is a gathering of more than 100,000 members with the objective to promote Islam at school and university.
