We are now in a quite unique moment in history. All peoples on Earth live in a big common house. Nowadays you can no longer think that events that happen somewhere stay circumscribed for centuries. Everything and everybody is interrelated in a permanent exchange of informations, goods, means, knowledge, etc…

The technological development has brought strong improvements in the quality of life in global terms, but still hasn’t affected the power games and the distribution of wealth. Extreme poverty has increased along with the lack of basic education, leaving whole generations at the mercy of fanatics in every field. Violence is increasing while wars press whole populations escaping from those horrors; multitudes are crossing the world bringing their historical baggage along with them, contributing to the universal planetary melting pot.

“We are in an important age of transition. It’s a fact that the progress, bad or good, will not be carried out by those in charge of the current fate of the planet, but by those generations that will emerge in the immediate and remote future. It’s important to comprehend what generally delineates the thoughts and emotions of the new generations. Hence it is important to create intense moments of dialogue between these worldwide connected generations, in order to enhance awareness of their necessary historical role”.

To face and discuss these topics, there will be in India from February the 8th to the 14th, 2016 the “East West Dialogues 2016 – New Generations in Orient and Occident: surveys and dialogues”.

Following the East West Dialogues 2015: “Siloism, Universalist Humanism and New Spirituality in the worldwide social context” held in February 2015, this event will be an international meeting based on exchange and dialogue among new generations from Orient and Occident, about the points of view on worldwide society, human relationships and existential topics. It will be open to all people, of any origin, that are interested in this particular theme. The event will be articulated in various stages: surveys on the spot, virtual connection, info meetings and many other events.

Some information about the location: the event will take place in Varkala (Kerala), sacred city for Hindus, charged with deep mysticism and a pilgrimage destination because of its numerous temples. Varkala Beach is also a marine location overlooking the Arabian Sea, one of the most beautiful in Kerala and offers kilometers of uncontaminated beach and several forms of entertainment.
