A week long sit-in in front of National Diet Building in Tokyo ~ Against a proposal of constitutional change for Japan to participate in wars

Many people from different cities in Japan, big and small, representing labor unions, teachers unions and various civic groups have come together to hold a daily sit-in from June 15 until June 24 in front of the National Diet Building. One of the organizers said, “In smaller cities, voters are speaking to their councilors directly and people are taking grass-root approaches. Small demonstrations had been seen in various parts of Japan. If you add them all up, it’s a big voice. It shows in the most recent polls that the Abe opposition is growing large and we are confident that he’s feeling that blow.
