Starting on Friday 6th February between 9am and 10am local time, Pressenza will be on air on Radio Pichincha Universal, 95.3, FM.

The programme is the result of an alliance that started in October 2014 and that has quickly developed into concrete actions. Back in November, Tony Robinson reported from Vienna at the Conference on the Humanitarian Impact of Nuclear Weapons and the Italian team reported from Rome on the Summit of Nobel Laureates. This year Mariano Quiroga reported on the Nisman case in Argentina and Marianella Kloka reported on the Greek elections. These reports have shown our view of the different events.

In this short but fruitful path, we have been able to secure a weekly slot for one hour in which the content is completely at the discretion of the agency with the technical support of the Radio Pichincha Universal production team.

The programme will focus on international affairs and in principle is structured into four segments.; news headlines from different continents, so that the audience has a summary of international matters; a segment on the theme of the week with a more analytical perspective; a third segment that will have the format of an interview and finally a summary and announcement where possible of the news that will develop over the following week.

Tony Robinson from Budapest, Mariano Quiroga from Buenos Aires and Nelsy Lizarazo in Quito, are the presentation team. The entire team of Pressenza editors as well as many friends and columnists will be supporting us from week to week. Of course our partners will be an important part of this collective effort.

Through this initiative, Pressenza makes a contribution to Radio Pichincha Universal, giving to their listeners a view of the world with a focus on the peace and nonviolence that characterises our agency. For their part, Radio Pichincha Universal contributes to Pressenza, opening their microphones and their listeners in order to position our point of view and expand our field of influence.

We invite our readers to listen live, every Friday from 9 to 10am, local time in Quito on www.pichinchauniversal.com.ec.
